A 24-year-old techie was found dead inside a private hostel room in Gachibowli here on Wednesday morning.

Pogaku Harini, a junior software developer with Golden Hills Capital India Private Limited in Hitech City committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan after her company announced lay-offs, Raidurgam police said.

The victim hails from Mahabubnagar district and for the past two-and-half-years, she was working with the company. She was living in a working women’s hostel.
