‘Inspire’, the State-level science fair, would be held at Madikonda from February 2 to 4, said Regional Joint Director of School Education P. Rajiv.
He said a total of 323 boys and 324 girls from 31 districts would present their 647 exhibits at the science fair.
On the first day, it would be open between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. and on February 3, it would be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ‘Meet the scientist’, quiz competition, question and answer sessions and cultural programmes form part of the fair. Mr. Rajiv said all the arrangements have been made for the event and several committees have been constituted to look after accommodation, food and transportation of students coming from different districts. Special buses have been arranged at Warangal and Kazipet railways stations and bus stands to transport students and officials to the venue.
NIT Director N.V. Ramana Rao, Social Welfare Secretary R.S. Praveen Kumar, SCERT Director B. Seshu Kumari, MLA Aruri Ramesh and others would grace the inaugural function.
Science models
KARIMNAGAR Special Correspondent adds: Four science models presented by the students of Paramita educational institutions at the district-level Inspire science fair have been selected for the State-level science fair. A total of 285 models were displayed at the district-level fair, among whom 35 models were selected for the State-level competition, including four from Paramita schools. The models selected include: smart bus designed by V.M. Sivarachitha, electricity from decomposed waste by Aryanraj, self-controlled lift by Harshavardhan and women safety and accident-control by Chinmayee Sriharika.
Paramita educational institutions chairman E. Prasada Rao, directors Rashmita and Anukar Rao and school principals appreciated the students and their guide teachers for being selected for the State-level fair.
