Congress ‘dismissive’ of development

Marri Aditya Reddy, Secretary of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) and grandson of former Chief Minister Marri Chenna Reddy, joined the Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) headed by Prof. Kodandaram.

Mr. Aditya Reddy is son of former Minister Marri Shashidhar Reddy, who is seeking the the Congress ticket for the Sanathnagar constituency again. Mr. Aditya said he was inspired by Prof. Kodandaram’s work for Telangana. Interestingly, he joined the party in the same office that was once the headquarters of Telangana Praja Samiti (TPS) founded by his grandfather for spearheading the Telangana movement in the late 60s.

It is not clear from which constituency he would be seeking nomination from the TJS. Senior Congress leaders, however, do not give much significance to the development, saying Mr. Aditya Reddy was seeking to contest the next elections and it would be impossible for him to get nomination from the Congress since his father is already an aspirant for Sanathnagar from the party.
