Send Nepal’s children back to school

May 10, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:37 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The Rotary Club of Secunderabad Sunshine organised a two-day fund raising event, Back To School , to help children in quake-hit Nepal get back to school. Proceeds from the sale of a collection of 100 photographs, contributed by various amateur and professional photographers, will be used to provide basic needs like benches, books, uniforms and others in the affected areas of Nepal. The cost of each photograph is between Rs.1,500 and Rs.5,000. “We plan to raise about Rs.1 lakh from this event,” said Rajesh Pamnani, member of the club. “The Rotary International has agreed to match the amount of money raised by us. This way we plan to extend help to students of at least two schools.”

The event is being held at Goethe-Zentrum in Banjara Hills.
