Rotary to distribute desks in schools

Rotary International will distribute 7,593 dual desks to 45 government schools in the two States on June 25. These school desks are expected to benefit 22,779 students. Earlier, the organisation had distributed 75,000 desks to schools in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Beneficiary schools are located in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medak, Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam, Mahabubnagar and Kurnool. At a media briefing, office-bearers of Rotary International’s unit – ‘District 3150’ said that the organisation would also distribute 1,475 desks in a separate function to be held at Chilakaluripet in Guntur district on June 30. The organisation has already spent Rs 1.82 crore on the desks.
