The Telangana State Medical Council will register post-graduate medical students who have not undergone compulsory government service.

Earlier this year, the State government had done away with compulsory government service after June 30. Ravinder Reddy, Chairman of TS Medical Council, said those post-graduates who had differed or had not undergone the service could now get themselves registered.

“The government has clarified that the service is not compulsory and those that have not undergone the service before June 30 can be registered,” Dr. Reddy said.
