Registration for Hyderabad Design Week now open

The logo, website and a promotional video of the Hyderabad Design Week (HDW), scheduled to be held from October 9-13, were launched on Friday.

The registration for participation to the event also opened, said a release from the organisers on the launch programme held in the city, in which Industries and IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan and Director NID Ahmedabad Praveen Nahar participated.

The HDW will coincide in parts with the World Design Assembly, a prestigious global event coming to India for the first time.

Speaking on the occasion, Director General of Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad Ajit Rangnekar said, “Design thinking is a fundamental building block of education. We will ensure all start-ups from Hyderabad will participate in the design week activities”.

The State government has forged collaborations with governments of UK and Bordeaux, France, for the event, the release said.

The World Design Assembly, to be held on October 11-12, will be 31st in the series and have ‘Humanising Design’ as its theme.
