June 07, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:37 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The IMD Hyderabad has forecasted more rains in the coming days. On Saturday, it rained heavily at several places in the city bringing down temperatures by a few degrees. There are chances of daily showers and cloudy skies till June 12 with maximum temperatures to be between 36 degree Celsius and 38 degree Celsius.

The intense spell of showers on Saturday inundated low lying areas and brought traffic at several stretches to a crawl. Several sections in the Raj Bhavan and Somajiguda-Punjagutta road were filled with knee-deep water, obstructing the traffic for a long time.

Traffic jams were also reports at the densely populated Malakpet, Dilsukhnagar and Saroornagar areas. A few places in in the city that were hit by the thundershowers also experienced power cuts for a few hours.
