A senior executive of TSIIC, the Telangana government undertaking tasked with industrial infrastructure development, on Friday said a proposal made by an industry body to allow micro and small entrepreneurs pay in instalments the cost towards the land allotted by the government for their units would be studied.
Noting that the CII has made the proposal, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of TSIIC E.V. Narasimha Reddy said as a measure to make it easier for the entrepreneurs, the industry body has suggested if the land cost is deferred and allowed to be paid in instalments. “It definitely will be considered, I will also discuss the same with Minister,” he added.

Mr. Reddy, who was addressing a MSME Summit organised by the CII here on Friday, also highlighted various measures initiated by the State government for accelerated industrial development, including single window, time-bound approvals for new projects.
In the last four years, as many as 11,500 applications have been cleared under the TS-iPASS.
The focus was also on sector-wise cluster development. Land has also been identified for Korean and Japanese manufacturing clusters and would be finalised during the visit of the teams. Delegations from Taiwan have already been shown to host their electronic manufacturing clusters, he said, adding that the industrial land bank available in the State was 1.43 lakh acres.
Timely release of subsidies and incentives was another aspect where the government seeks to work on, he said, even while underscoring the significance of financial discipline for micro, small and medium enterprises.
A release from the CII said State Bank of India (SBI) chief general manager Om Prakash Mishra and Honorary Consul-General of South Korea Suresh Chukkapalli were among those who addressed the summit.
