Congress leader, Revanth Reddy has claimed that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had started a dangerous game of targeting Opposition leaders threatening them with false cases.

Speaking to the media here, he said the notices sent to him regarding the issues in Jubilee Hills Housing Society were politically motivated as he was just an executive committee member at that time without much power. He challenged the government to arrest him in the case.

Defending Mr. Jagga Reddy who was arrested for alleged human trafficking, he said in fact, Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao was involved in that case and he had sent a Gujarati woman to the US as his wife. Bodhan MLA Shakeel was also involved in the same case.

The confession statement of the accused also has the names of Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao who had given five recommendation letters as an MP and three more letters later recommending people to be sent to the USA, he alleged and said Jagga Reddy’s name was not mentioned in that statement. He said the names of KCR and Harish Rao were removed after Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao became the Chief Minister, he said. Mr. Reddy also asked the Governor as to why was he silent when Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao was misusing power blatantly using police and demanded that investigation be held on role of KCR and Mr. Harish Rao in human trafficking case. If the Governor doesn’t respond the party would approach the court.

He also alleged that Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao would not even hesitate to physically eliminate Congress leaders as he was afraid of losing the elections. Gandra Venkataramana Reddy was booked under the Arms Act when he doesn’t have a weapon. Police officials belonging to Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao’s caste were being given the task of targeting Congress leaders.

He warned that police officials working against norms will not be spared once the Congress returns to power.
