Principal Secretary to tour towns in State

To review progress of work taken up in recent times

Principal Secretary (Municipal Administration) Arvind Kumar on Tuesday informed that he would tour towns across Telangana from next month to review the progress of various civic infrastructure work taken up in the recent times.

At a meeting with public health engineers to take stock of the status of work taken up under Mission Bhagiratha, Smart Cities and other projects, he wanted most of them to complete all the work by September-end. A sum of ₹1,500 crore has been spent in 10 municipalities and corporations towards water supply schemes, of which 85% work has been completed so far.

Engineer-in-Chief Dhan Singh and other officials attended the meeting.

Later, he held a meeting with GHMC officials and reviewed the progress of the work taken up under the Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP). Commissioner Dana Kishore, Additional Commissioners Advaith Singh and Sikta Patnaik, CEs Sridhar, Suresh Kumar and Ziayuddin and L.B. Nagar Zonal Commissioner Srinvas Reddy attended the meeting, a press release said.
