Congress, BJP leaders making presence felt

District Congress Committee (DCC) president Naini Rajender Reddy and BJP Urban District president Rao Padma Amarender Reddy have begun their election campaign in right earnest.

They have started distributing pamphlets through newspapers besides undertaking padayatra and other protest demonstrations making their presence felt among public across the Hanamkonda Assembly constituency.

Mr. Rajender Reddy, who recently completed his padayatra in all municipal divisions, is now holding street corner meetings in various localities every day.

On the other hand Ms. Rao Padma is taking part in protest rallies in different localities highlighting the failures of the ruling TRS party.

She has distributed pamphlets highlighting the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She got them printed with her photo and that of Mr Modi.

Similarly, Mr. Rajender Reddy has printed his photograph alongside party president Rahul Gandhi on the pamphlets that are being distributed across the constituency. The Congress leader listed out the promises being made by the party for the people if the party was voted to power.

Speaking to The Hindu , Ms. Rao Padma said the TRS leaders were dreaming of returning to power but the situation was not that congenial.

Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao failed to deliver several promises.
