February 28, 2012 02:18 pm | Updated 02:18 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

The city police have issued a lookout circular to all the international airports in the country to nab a software engineer, Umesh Rao, who fled after his second marriage plans were exposed.

“We have issued the circular through CID. We have also questioned Rao's parents and other family members in connection with the case and asked them to inform us about his whereabouts,” said Madannapet Inspector K.V. Surya Prakash Rao on Monday.

Police said Rao (32), a resident of Saroornagar, fell in love with a woman and married her at Arya Samaj four years ago. He, however, did not inform his family about his first marriage and got engaged to his cousin, a few months ago. The family had also accepted Rs.13 lakh worth gold ornaments and other valuables as dowry. The wedding was scheduled on Sunday at a function hall in Madannapet, police said.
