Over 700 idols immersed

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Wednesday offered his prayers at Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Samithi's idol. He was accompanied by Secunderabad MP Anjan Kumar Yadav and Labour Minister D. Nagendar.

Meanwhile, over 700 Ganesh idols were immersed at Hussainsagar Lake on Wednesday, the seventh-day of the eleven-day festivities.

The grand procession of idols in twin cities would take place on Sunday at different water bodies in the city.

The Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi is organising meeting with district Collectors of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad Police Commissioner and GHMC Commissioner on Thursday at Baheti Bhavan adjacent to Hotel Rajadhani, Siddiamberbazar from 4.30 p.m. onwards to discuss the arrangements made by the government for immersion of idols.

The Utsav Samithi has requested all the organisers and volunteers of Ganesh pandals to attend the meeting.
