The body of Nabeel Mohammed, who died under suspicious circumstances during a 'friendly' fight last Sunday in Old City, was exhumed on Monday afternoon. A postmortem examination was being conducted by a team of doctors from Osmania Medical College Forensic Science Department.

The incident took place on May 3, but it came to light on May 10 after a video filmed by his friends went viral on social media. The family members including the teenager's father Mohd Dastagir buried the body at Barkas graveyard after the friends of Nabeel convinced them that the teenager died after falling from a motorcycle.

Following a complaint made by Mohd Dastagir the police registered a case of suspicious death and took up investigation. A few persons were detained for questioning by the police.

Emotional scenes were witnessed at the graveyard as the body was exhumed from the graveyard. The family members of Nabeel once again broke down on seeing the body.

Revenue officials spoke to the family members and prepared an inquest report.
