Municipal elections in Telangana would be held soon and the notification would come out in a few days, said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
The court also cleared the hurdles but still another was pending and it was expected to be cleared soon, he said at a press conference here. He said ‘Pattana Pragati’ would be organised in the cities and towns after the success of ‘Palle Pragati’.
KCR said a new Revenue Act would soon be a reality to ensure that discrepancies in land ownership were solved once for all. Clear land titles would increase the GDP as had been seen in several countries and people would be spared of legal costs.
He said the VRO system would be scrapped if needed but so far no decision had been taken. They would be absorbed in other departments and not shunted out.
The Chief Minister also plans to finalise his visit to the Gulf countries along with MLAs and MLCs of some districts to meet Telangana people working there. “I feel there is so much work for them here itself. If needed, they will be trained as well,” he said, wondering when people from other states came to work here why should Telangana people go to Gulf for work.
