Khammam MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar has thanked Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for sanctioning 5,000 double-bedroom houses at a cost of ₹265 crore in addition to the already allocated 2,000 units under the two-bedroom housing (2BHK) scheme to Khammam Assembly constituency.

He said here on Tuesday, Mr. Ajay said Khammam Assembly constituency secured major allocation in terms of the number of dwelling units sanctioned under the scheme in the State.

The Chief Minister has fulfilled his promise made to the shelterless poor people of Khammam to allocate additional dwelling units under the State government’s flagship housing scheme to the constituency during his visit to the town in 2016. This amply demonstrates the TRS government's commitment to ensure dignity housing to the homeless poor people, he noted.

Khammam Mayor G. Papa Lal, former Khammam Agriculture Market Committee Chairman G. Krishna and others were present.
