The tragic death of Ujwal Sriharsha, the town-based young techie, in England, where he had gone to pursue his Master's in Electronics Engineering, chasing a dream of earning a niche for himself in the rapidly emerging Artificial Intelligence technology, shocked the close associates of his family here over the abrupt end of a promising career.

Nearly 12 days after Sriharsha, 24, son of BJP Khammam district unit president Sanne Uday Pratap, went missing, a decomposed body, presumed to be that of Sirharsha, was washed ashore at Beachy Head in Eastbourne, a coastal town about 119 km from London, late on Saturday night, sources said.

Sussex police reportedly passed on the information to Sriharsha's parents - Uday Pratap and Varalaxmi, who had been camping in London since August 27. The grief stricken couple reportedly identified the body as that of their missing son, sources close to the techie's family here said.

The dress on the body matched with the CCTV footage of Sriharsha moving at Eastbourne railway station where he was last seen on August 21, before disappearing.

Autopsy

The police are expected to handover the body to the parents of the deceased after autopsy and ascertaining the exact identity of the body in compliance with the statutory procedures in England in the next few days, sources added.

While the police probing the incident in Eastbourne, suspected it to be a case of suicide, the close associates of the techie's family here received the tragic news with utter disbelief.

A pal of gloom pervaded the Kaman Bazar area here where the house of Mr Uday, who is also an advocate and a well-known figure among the local business circles, is located. The house remained locked.

Sriharsha joined the M.S. in Queen Mary University of London last year after graduating from BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad, recalled V Sitarambabu, an advocate and close associate of Mr Uday.
