Minister holds talks with staff of temples

Minister for Endowments and Housing A. Indrakaran Reddy on Friday assured the employees and priests of temples under the Endowments Department in the State that the government would take a decision on increasing their salaries soon.

At a review meeting held with officials, including Secretary N. Siva Sankar, and convenor of Temple Employees and Priests Joint Action Committee (JAC) G. Bhanu Murthy and others here, the Minister said the government is positive about their demands.

Mr. Murthy told reporters later that their talks with the government were positive and that they are hopeful of hearing good news soon.
