An electric pole fell on the sexagenarian

A sexagenarian died after an electric pole fell on him at Tirumulgherry area on Monday, the police said.

B. Laxman Rao (60), a retired bank employee was walking towards his house from LIC Colony after giving his vehicle for servicing when a pole fell on him resulting in serious injuries.

“The electric police got twisted following heavy wind and rain. It suddenly collapsed and Laxman came under it. He suffered a deep cut on his head and died,” B. Srinu Naik said. The deceased had retired from service on September 30.

The police clarified that the man died due to injuries and was not electrocuted.

A case under Section 304A (causing death by negligence) the Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Corporation (TSSPDC) following a complaint made by the victims’ relative.
