LIDCAP to supply goods to NAC

June 14, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:43 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Be it the leather shoes worn by the students of government schools or the brown boots which are part of the police officers’ identity, LIDCAP has been relentlessly supplying leather goods to various State government departments for years now.

In the latest development, the department will supply leather goods worth Rs. 3 lakh to National Academy of Construction (NAC). The goods will be made at an operational leather unit situated in Nayudamma Leather Park in Gachibowli.

Presently, the unit is leased out to a private entrepreneur who has to pay a commission of 10 per cent to LIDCAP out of their total sales. The machinery at the unit was procured from Czech Republic at a cost of Rs. 3 crore.
