In his first assignment as the working president of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), K.T. Rama Rao is likely to visit Warangal (Rural), Warangal (Urban) and Jangaon districts on December 20 to give directions to party ranks on the forthcoming gram panchayat, local bodies and Parliament elections.
Mr. Rama Rao is also expected to lay foundation stone for construction of the building for Warangal (Urban) district party office.
Arrangements reviewed
A meeting headed by Kadiyam Srihari was organised here on Monday with legislators and others of the erstwhile Warangal district to review the arrangements to be made for the working president's first visit, a release said. The meeting was attend by legislators Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, T. Rajaiah, D. Vinay Bhaskar, A. Ramesh, Peddi Sudarshan Reddy, Chairpersons of Rythu Runa Vimochana Commission -- Nagurla Venkanna, Kakatiya Urban Development Authority -- Marri Yadava Reddy, Sheep and Goat Development Corporation -- Rajaiah Yadav, Disabled Welfare Corporation -- Vasudeva Reddy among others. The TRS working president will address a joint meeting of the party workers of Palakurthy, Station Ghanpur and Jangaon constituencies at 11 a.m. on December 20 followed by laying of foundation stone for the construction of Warangal (Urban) district party office and joint meeting of party workers from Warangal-East, Warangal-West, Wardhannapet, Parkal and Narsampet constituencies in the afternoon.
Processions
The meeting held here on Monday has decided to organise a huge procession to welcome KTR at Jangaon from Pembarthy Kakatiya Kalathoranam to Priston Grounds. Similarly, another huge procession is planned from Madikonda to KUDA Grounds in Warangal.
Mr. Rama Rao is expected to give directions to party leaders and workers to ensure win for party candidates in all the forthcoming elections. The meetings at Jangaon and Warangal would also be attended by chairpersons and members of booth committees of the party, party's village committees, coordinators and members of village, mandal, constituency and district rythu samanvaya samithi, former sarpanches, MPTC and ZPTC members and mandal parishad presidents, mandal in-charges of party and party activists and leaders.
