Congress leader Gudur Narayana Reddy has said the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre has done gross injustice to Telangana depriving the State its required funds and not honouring the promises made in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act but Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was maintaining silence.
In a statement here, he said when Andhra Pradesh was taking the unfulfilled promises of the Act to the national-level with protests the KCR government was supporting the BJP by remaining silent.
He claimed that Telangana did not get its due share in any of the five regular budgets and the latest interim budget of the Central government.
He said it was regrettable that TRS MPs did not effectively raise their voice in Parliament seeking justice to Telangana.
Mr. Reddy alleged that the presence of TRS MPs in Parliament was nothing more than symbolism and formality as they lacked the courage to fight with the government on people’s issues.
“While KCR acted like a BJP agent, TRS MPs simply followed his dictate without even expressing their own views,” he alleged.
At the same time, Congress MPs had the guts to get statehood for Telangana in 2014 when their own government was in power, he reminded and said they will function with same vigour to bring Telangana its due share in next Lok Sabha.
