Hyderabad will play host to Indo Data Week 2019 -- from November 2 -- that seeks to serve as a forum for technology and sustainability experts to moot measures for accelerating the pace of work towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

“The goal of this seven-day event is to bring together practitioners of Data Science – research, application and development – with sustainability experts from India and abroad, thereby facilitating public-private partnerships to accelerate,” a release from the organisers said.

The Indo-Nordic Innovation Acceleration Cluster and DAV Data Solutions, India, are organising the event, from November 2 to 8, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) Youth Co: Lab initiative. The theme of the event is Data Science for Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

Coinciding with the event will be an International Data Science Technology Conference for SDGs on November 4 and 5.

The Indo Data Week 2019 will comprise multiple pre-conference certification bootcamps on November 2 and 3, to be organised at T-Hub on advanced data science topics of Deep Learning, NLP, Creative Data Visualisation and Model Deployment on IoT devices. On these two days, there will also be a parallel boot camp for the start-up ecosystem in India at We Hub.

The winners of the Youth4SDG Awards, from among students who have submitted innovative and unique ideas on using Data Science techniques for SDGs 2030, will be announced in November 8, the release said.

A number of senior government officials and domain experts are scheduled to participate in the event.
