Hitachi Consulting plans to expand in State

February 18, 2012 10:00 am | Updated 10:00 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The Hitachi Consulting, the global IT strategies and solutions provider, will absorb nearly 200 fresh graduates from campuses across the country this year.

Branding exercises

After its recent acquisition of Sierra Atlantic, an offshore enterprise applications and outsourced product developer, Hitachi is now undertaking rigorous branding exercises to make its presence felt in the country, especially in the State.

“Nearly 70 per cent of our future expansions will be in Andhra Pradesh. While we expect to add at least 500 people to our workforce in the next 12 months, over 100 of them will be fresh recruits,” said Sanjay Jesrani, Executive Vice-President, Hitachi Consulting.

He was speaking at the award function of the ‘Programmers Marathon' contest conducted across colleges in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy, to build relations with universities and students. “Many know Hitachi only as a consumer brand; these exercises will help us establish ourselves as a software consulting company,” said Sanjay.
