June 30, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:50 am IST - HYDERABAD:

A Division Bench of Hyderabad High Court comprising acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale and Justice S. V. Bhatt on Monday dismissed the case filed seeking direction for implementing Section 8 of Andhra Pradesh State Reorganisation Act.

The case was filed questioning the complete jurisdiction of Telangana over Hyderabad, before a division Bench. The petitioner was Veera Raghava Reddy, contending he is representing the cause of Andhras in Telangana through Andhra Association of Telangana. He wanted the court to give directions to the effect that administration of law and order in Hyderabad will not be under exclusive control of Telangana DGP.

The petitioner appeared party in person and said that the court may give clarity. The Bench said that the courts are here to resolve legal issues and not give clarity. The case was dismissed as ‘not maintainable’.
