Light rains continued to shower throughout the day here on Sunday, keeping the maximum temperature at just 26 degree Celsius and turned the roads muddy.
Depression over Odisha
The situation was the result of a depression passing over Odisha, which remained stationary, and will have a similar effect on Monday as well, said officials from the Meteorological Department.
8 mm rainfall
On Sunday, the city received 8 millimetres of rainfall, according to the Met department, and the minimum temperature was recorded at 22.4 degrees Celsius.
Met forecasts heavy showers
Officials have forecast heavy showers in Hyderabad and Telangana in general, as the depression is likely to be stationary for the next 24 hours.
“The depression has formed 110 kilometres south-east of Sambalpur in Odisha, and will weaken as it moves towards the north-west of the State,” said an official.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 30 degree Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius, said Met Department officials.
