Bathukamma celebrations in Karimnagar town took on a global colour on Monday evening as a team of foreigners from seven countries participated in an event organised by the department of tourism and culture along with the Brahmakumaris as part of the international cultural festival.

Artists from Russia, Malayasia, Indonesia, Thailand, Argentina, Belarus, and Ukraine participated in the Bathukamma celebrations by singing songs and dancing in perfect rhythm, and even showcasing some of their traditional dance forms.

They captivated the local womenfolk with their synchronised dance steps.

Collector Sarfaraz Ahmad and Commissioner of Police V.B. Kamalasan Reddy showered praise on the Brahmakumaris for organising the unique festival in Karimnagar town.
