AICC secretary, Telangana in-charge, Krishnan Srinivasan, has said that the NDA government, led by the BJP at the Centre, has failed miserably on all fronts in the last four years. It has hardly created one lakh jobs for youth.

Stating that it was Congress which respected the Indian culture and had taken forward all sections of people, he said that the BJP, out of the 425 Assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, did not give a single seat to Muslim minorities. “Congress does not discriminate. It is the true Aam Aadmi party and therefore has given equal importance to all sections,” said he.

Addressing the inaugural of the review meeting of the party here on Monday, Srinivasan said TRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao, after coming to power, had duped the people. KCR simply ignored promises made to Dalits and Muslims, he added.

Expressing confidence over the victory of the Congress in the coming general elections, he said the Chief Minister had grossly disappointed the people, adding that the TRS leadership did not accommodate a single woman in its cabinet whereas the AICC president Rahul Gandhi was trying to provide equal opportunities for women.

Srinivasan said that he came here to review the party’s position in each Assembly constituency in undivided district and made it clear that party would maintain transparency in giving tickets in the elections.

He wanted the party cadres to extensively and effectively use the Shakti App developed for the enrolment of members in the party. Booth committees are important to the party and therefore they must act very actively at grassroot level, he said. He later held constituency wise in-camera reviews with party leaders.

Leader of the Opposition in Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir, AICC secretary Madhu Goud Yashki, former Minister P. Sudarshan Reddy, former Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy and MLC A. Lalitha also spoke. DCC president Taher Bin Hamdan presided.
