Telangana Congress general secretary Sravan Dasoju challenged IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao to an open public debate on prevailing family rule and their corruption in Telangana.

Referring to Mr. KTR’s response to Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s comments at the Sangareddy meeting, Mr. Dasoju accused the Minister of raking up insignificant issues instead of responding to the vital questions related to farmers and unemployed youth. “KTR's knee-jerk reaction to Mr. Gandhi’s comment on dynastic rule shows that he is guilty of it,” he said.

He said Mr. KTR’s remarks against Rahul Gandhi reflects his arrogance and alleged that Mr. KCR and Mr. KTR have reduced rest of the Cabinet ministers to mere puppets and rubber stamps and the whole world knows about it.

Centre of power

“Entire governance is run from one House called Pragathi Bhavan, where both father and son take decisions of all other cabinet ministers, which is an open secret across Telangana,” he alleged.

Mr. Dasoju alleged that both KCR and KTR have contaminated entire governance with corruption running into thousands of crores and are getting nervous as Mr. Gandhi raised the issue of corruption. He suggested that KTR should come to the terms with reality at grass root level and do something to mitigate the sufferings of farmers, students, unemployed youth, and poor of Telangana.

Mr. KTR should realise that as Mr. Rahul Gandhi had come down to Telangana only because the government failed to stand by the deprived sections.

He alleged that both the Chief Minister and the IT Minister have forgotten that they are sitting on a throne built on the sacrifices of thousands of youth.
