Munnurukapu community elders of all tarpas [branches] from the town met Rajya Sabha Member Dharmapuri Srinivas at his camp office at Old MLA Quarters in Hyderabad on Thursday to express their solidarity in the wake of the resolution passed by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi leaders urging the party leadership to take a disciplinary action against him for his anti-party activities.

About 60 persons travelled in a bus and several cars to meet him. In the meeting with them D. Srinivas reportedly remarked that “some persons in the party” were acting against him and did not want his continuation in the party.

He was said to have expressed agony before them that he held the community district president post for the last three decades and brought them all under one umbrella.

The visiting community elders promised him that they would be behind him under any circumstances.
