Governor ESL Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan on Friday honoured District Collector M. Ram Mohan Rao with Seva Award for successfully conducting a mega health camp under the aegis of Indian Red Cross Society in association with the Power Grid Corporation of India at Sudhapally in Dichpally mandal on April 29.
The Governor appreciated the conduct of the health camp in which a large number of patients arrived from three mandals of Nizamabad rural, Mugpal and Darpally were examined by a team of expert doctors from the district and also from Hyderabad.

Governor ESL Narsimhan at Raj Bhavan on Friday conferred two gold medals on Collector N. Satyanarayana for his efforts to keep the district number one among the newly-formed districts, promoting blood donation camps under the aegis of the Indian Red Cross Society and also in the membership drive of the society.
The Collector received a gold medal and a seva medal from the Governor. IRCS secretary Rajanna received the gold medal on behalf the Superintendent of Police N. Swetha who made special efforts to increase the membership.
By conducting 74 blood donation camps 3,106 units of blood was collected in the district over a period of time. Food Commission chairman and IRCS chairman Tirumal Reddy, DCO Gangadhar and ICDS officer Radhamma were present.
Nizamabad district meanwhile secured as many as 11 medals for the Red Cross services in different fields.
Among those who received medals included Collector M. Ram Mohan Rao, former Collector Ms. Yogitha Rana, N. Ramchander, B. Anjaneyulu, T. Rajashekar, K. Ravinder, Yadi Reddy, B. Chinna Reddy, Ravindranath Soory, Bhagyasheela, Venkatesh and J. Venkat, former DMHO.

Collector Vasam Venkateswarlu received Seva Award for Red Cross services. The award was presented by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan at a function held at Hyderabad on Friday evening. The Collector received three gold medals and one seva award.
