The State government has issued a check list for the departments that are proposed to be shifted to the Burgula Ramakrishna Rao Bhavan from the existing Secretariat complex paving the way for commencement of construction of the new complex at the same site.
In its communication issued to the departments, the government wanted to know whether accommodation had been provided to them in the BRKR Bhavan along with details of the floor and room numbers allotted to them. The check list follows the works taken up to give facelift to the BRKR Bhavan which are nearing completion. The entire premises is being spruced up to ensure that the officials and staff moving to the temporary location do not face any inconvenience in functioning from the new premises.
Accordingly, the departments were asked to specify the conditions of the office space including flooring, walls, windows and other aspects. They have been asked to mention about the status of electricity, water supply, sanitation and internet connectivity, especially BSNL and the four-digit connectivity.
Inventory of items
The departments have been asked to make an inventory of the items that are to be shifted including the almirahs, tables, chairs, computers and associated items, air-conditioning machines as well as miscellaneous articles like maps and photos. The departments should specially mention about the articles that need to be shifted out and those that would be left behind.
The inventory should contain details about the total number of packages that are being moved from the Secretariat and articles that had been left in the custody of the executive engineer concerned. The nodal officers concerned supervising the shifting should also mention about the number of vehicles (no. of trips) that would be required for shifting the packaged articles along with the details of the organisation engaged for shifting them. They are asked to communicate the date on which they propose to shift the department to the BRKR Bhavan besides sending the details of the setting up basic office. There is, however, no clarity about the location of the Chief Minister’s Office so far and the government is said to be considering various locations for accommodating the CMO and secretaries to the Chief Minister.
