Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar has clarified that all the issues relating to the Telugu font in the ERO Net have been finalised before the printing of the final electoral rolls on October 12 and there were no difficulties reported from any district.

The data of all the 119 constituencies had been updated. In a clarification issued to a report that appeared in these columns, the CEO said the election authority had identified cases pertaining to demographically similar entries and the due process of verification had been completed. A few cases could not be eliminated from the rolls because of freezing of the rolls for final publication and these entries would be removed during the printing of the second supplement of electoral rolls, the CEO said.
