Care & Share Italia, an NGO, which supports students belonging to weaker sections of society by means of Street2School programme, announced actor Kabir Bedi as its global ambassador.
Tomaso Carraro, President, Care & Share Italia, which is headquartered in Vijaywada, said the organisation helped 1,500 children who belonged primarily to the Dalit and tribal communities. At present, the organisation is active in Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam .
Mr Bedi said, “They are endeavouring to provide education, because education is everything in the internet age, even a kid in Nagole slum can be empowered with education. They also mentor children, they extend scholarships to the deserving ones and give them whole new lives, all this is something very touching to me and I am very happy to lend my name, support and be the brand Ambassador of Care&Share.”
