Five persons were injured, two of them seriously, when a car coming from Hyderabad hit an RTC bus coming in the opposite direction at Rangila Dhaba on the outskirts of the headquarters.
The impact of the accident was so severe that the car was burned down completely.
The injured were identified as G. Aravind, G. Ranjit, M. Sridhar, Ch. Raju and M. Mahesh, all from Hyderabad.
They were shifted to Gandhi Hospital for treatment. Two of them are said to be in a critical condition.
