Brothel organisers caught

The Commissioner’s Task Force (West) team on Sunday caught seven persons on charge of organising prostitution in the city. A Skoda Octavia car, a Santro car, a Maruthi 800 and nine cell phones were seized from them. Those held were identified as M. Veerababu alias Shekar (42) of Gandhinagar, R. Ramesh (43) of Kukatpally, Mohd. Khaleel alias Salman (33) of Brindavan Colony in Tolichowki, Mahesh Rati alias Mohd. Sami (25) of Langer House, Deep Chand (22) of Attapur, E. Bangaraiah alias Lal Dhaba, Rajendra Nagar and Abhijeet Vishwas (29) of Rajendranagar.

“The accused were bringing in women from different cities including Kolkatta and Mumbai and sending them to customers. They contacted the clients through social media and WhatsApp and sent them the pictures of sex workers,” Task Force officials said.
