On the eve of World Arthritis Day, Rheumatology Association Hyderabad chapter organised the first Telangana State Arthritis Awareness programme here on Sunday.

Specialists in the field of rheumatology addressed the gathering, which included 50 patients suffering from the chronic disease, and briefed them about remedies and also cleared their queries, according to a press release.

Singer Kausalya shared her experiences and said she ignored the pain and underwent severe trauma for the last 11 years. “I feel it’s my responsibility to share my experience as it may help someone identify the disease and get treated in time,” she said. Rheumatologist Association office bearers Raj Kiran, A.N. Roy and others spoke on the occasion.
