Narendra Modi “sold lies” and “false dreams” to the country’s electorate to become the Prime Minister, but the volunteers of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) should sell only the truth while reaching out to voters, said AAP South India in-charge, Somnath Bharti, here on Thursday.
Addressing the AAP Telangana State Convention, Mr. Bharti asked the workers to be prepared for hard work and reach out to each and every household in their area. The convention, which was attended by representatives from all the Telangana districts, also had Mr. Bharti putting forth a strategy for structuring the party in the State.
“Our main aim is to ensure corruption-free Telangana and free the State from the clutches of the present government run by K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his family members. They have turned governance into a private family enterprise,” he charged. A broad code of conduct laid down for the volunteers wanted them to ensure discipline and respect hierarchy in the party. AAP-TS spokesperson, P.L. Vishweshwar Rao, in his address, took a critical view of the present governance in the State which he observed was hijacked by ‘four persons from the family of Mr. KCR’.
