Public places in city to have ‘Q’ Managers

Establishments in the city, including malls and shrines, visited by people in big numbers will have to appoint ‘Q’ Managers and security personnel to maintain order and control large gatherings.

Police on Saturday issued an order in this regard for establishments such as cinema theatres, bus stands, malls, shopping complexes and religious places, among others.

The order shall come into force from Sunday and be in force for the next 15 days. Establishments violating this order were liable for punishment, a police statement said.

“Managements of all the above said establishments are notified to take necessary measures, including providing ‘Q’ Managers, security personnel and signages for mandatory formation of queue lines of public gathered at these places in order to maintain order, decency and discipline,” it said.

People were also duty-bound to follow the queue lines at the above mentioned places, the statement added.
