In a daring broad daylight robbery, two motorcycle-borne miscreants snatched a bag containing Rs.11 lakh cash from a steel and cement merchant at Nandi Hills under Meerpet police station limits on Tuesday.

D. Manohar Reddy, who runs a steel shop at Alkapuri, went to a private bank on a motorcycle and had withdrawn Rs.11 lakh. On reaching a secluded place at Nandi Hills, two miscreants came on a black Pulsar vehicle, overtook Mr. Reddy and suddenly stopped their vehicle in the middle of the road to obstruct his way.

A frightened Mr. Reddy lost balance and fell down from his motorcycle when he noticed them when one of the miscreant’s riding pillion pulled the bag and sped away from the spot along with his accomplice.
