Kamalanathan panel tenure extended

The Department of Personnel and Training has extended the tenure of the C.R. Kamalanathan Committee set up by the Centre for overseeing division of employees between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States following bifurcation of the combined AP State by another three months, till March 31.

The Committee was set up at the time of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in 2014 for dividing 57,700 government employees belonging to 153 wings of various departments between the two successor States. Of the total 153 departments, the division and final list pertaining to the employees of 150 departments has already been completed.

However, the committee has been given three months extension to complete division of some institutions placed under 9th and 10th Schedules of the AP Reorganisation Act.
