Governor praises CM for good governance

Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan showered praises on Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao for the good governance and said the CM had the habit of taking advice and once he makes up his mind there is no going back.

The Governor was speaking at Raj Bhavan when the Chief Minister along with Cabinet colleagues, bureaucrats, legislators, and other senior officers, met him to greet him on the occasion of New Year, according to a press release from the CMO.

Tracing the 31-month progress of the TS Government, the Governor expressed his happiness over the planning and execution of various programmes. Referring to the Mission Bhagiratha programme, the Governor said that it had received appreciation from several quarters. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of the project and it will reach its target by the year-end.

The Governor also complimented the progress made in the power sector driving away all apprehensions raised during Telangana agitation. He also had a praise for IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao for making the State number one in the Information Technology sector. He also praised the T-Hub initiative and the law and order situation.

The Governor also has a word of advice. He wanted eradication of corruption at every level in the Government and in society. Everyone involved in the Government should work towards a corruption-free society, which is “non-negotiable,” he said.
