Drug worth Rs. 2 crore seized at RGIA

Officials of Customs Air Intelligence Unit, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), on Tuesday night detained a woman, Hunguana Joana Samuel, and seized 20 kg of Ketamine drug worth Rs. 2 crore from her.

The woman was intercepted while she was leaving for Abu Dhabi by Etihad Airlines. Initially, the woman denied carrying any prohibited goods but the officials checked her baggage and found the drug concealed in the check-in-baggage.

TV actor’s arrest sought

A group of junior artistes who were allegedly cheated by Telugu television actress Vijaya Rani, on Tuesday met officials of the Central Crime Station (CCS) asking them to intensify the efforts to nab her. The actress reportedly collected about Rs. 5 crore from junior artistes for the last one year and went missing since last one week. The CCS officials maintained that they were making all efforts to arrest the woman.
