KARIMNAGAR: Minister for Finance and Civil Supplies Eatala Rajender has reiterated that the Telangana Rashtra Samiti Government was taking all steps to provide drinking water tap connections to all the households in the region, covered by undivided Karimnagar district, under Mission Bhageeratha programme by this year end.
The Minister along with ZP chairperson Tula Uma, State Cultural Council Chairman Rasamayi Balakishan, Karimnagar legislator G Kamalakar and others inspected ongoing Mission Bhageeratha works at Bahupeta, Elgandal and Lower Manair Dam shores on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the works were progressing at rapid pace to provide drinking water to the people and added that the work on filter-beds at LMD and Elgandal were progressing.
Stating that they were according top priority for the quality of works, he urged the farmers to cooperate with the government for laying pipelines for the Mission Bhageeratha programme.
The Minister directed the officials to lay pipelines along the national highways and other roads with a view to avoid future problems.
