Araku MP tests positive for swine flu

Swine flu, which is virulent in Hyderabad, is spreading all over Andhra Pradesh also with a few cases being reported every day. The latest to test positive to swine flu is Lok Sabha Member from Araku Kothapalli Geetha.

Her swab test report was received from IPM, Hyderabad late on Sunday night, District Medical and Health Officer J. Sarojini said on Monday morning.

Ms. Geetha experienced symptoms of swine flu as she was coming to the city from New Delhi three days ago. She went straight to the Queen's NRI Hospital from the airport and got herself admitted. Result of the swab test done on her showed positive to swine flu. "Ms. Geetha is undergoing treatment at the hospital and she is recovering", Dr. Sarojini said.

This was the fourth swine flu case recorded in the city so far this year.
