13 new directors for power utilities

New MD appointed for TSREDCO

The State government has appointed 13 new directors on the board of four power utilities in the State. They will be in office till May 31 next year.

In the orders issued by Special Chief Secretary (Energy) Ajay Misra on Saturday, it is stated that K. Ramulu, G. Parvatham, Ch. Mahan Mohan Rao and S. Swamy Reddy will be the new directors on the board of Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Ltd (TSSPDCL). P. Mohan Reddy, P. Sandhya Rani, P. Ganapathi, D. Narsinga Rao and Mohd. Younus will be new directors of the Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Ltd (TSNPDCL).

Similarly, B. Narsina Rao, presently working as director (Operations) in TSNPDCL, will be a new director on the Board of Transmission Corporation of Telangana Ltd (TS-Transco) and B. Lakshmaiah and A. Ajay will be new directors of Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Ltd (TS-Genco).

The government has also appointed T.R.K. Rao, presently working as Director (Commercial) in National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), as director (Fuel Management) in TS-Genco for a period of two years.

In addition, the government has also extended the term of nine existing directors on the boards of four power utilities till May 31 next year.

Those whose term has been extended include J. Srinivas Reddy and T. Srinivas (TSSPDCL), B. Venkateshwar Rao (TSNPDCL), G. Narsing Rao, T. Jaganth Reddy and J. Surya Prakash (TS-Transco) and Ch. Venkatarajam, S. Ashok Kumar and M. Sachidanandam (TS-Genco).

Further, the term of Chairman and Managing Director of TSSPDCL G. Raghuma Reddy has also been extended till May 31 next year.

For TSREDCO

Meanwhile, the government has appointed N. Janaiah as Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO) till May 31 next year.

The incumbent A. Sudakhar Rao has been relieved with immediate effect and repatriated to his parent department.
