Yashwant Sinha hits out at BJP

June 14, 2018 01:35 am | Updated 01:35 am IST - NEW DELHI

Former BJP leader and Union Minister Yashwant Sinha on Wednesday said that if former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was in power today he would have ordered the Home Minister to resolve the tussle between the Delhi CM and the Lieutenant-Governor.

Mr. Sinha, who recently quit the BJP, hit out at the current leadership of the party, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while coming out in support of the AAP’s protest against the L-G.

Addressing AAP workers and leaders outside Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence, Mr. Sinha said he had the opportunity of working in Mr. Vajpayee’s Cabinet, and did not regret working with the current “small-time” politicians.

He added that Mr. Vajpayee would have resolved the present crisis, but the current PMO had been silent.
