Woman’s body cut into three pieces, found in drain

A woman’s body that was cut into three pieces was found in a drain in outer Delhi’s Mianwali Nagar on Friday evening. The police are trying to identify the person.

A senior police officer said that a passer-by noticed the body after which the PCR call was made around 4 p.m.

“When the police reached the spot, the body was recovered. It was cut into three pieces. The female appears to be 16-20 years old,” he said, adding that the crime team has also inspected the spot.

The police said that they have registered a case under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the IPC and are trying to identify the person.

“The body was not in a decomposed state. We are sharing the information with all police stations. Previous cases of kidnapping and missing persons records are being checked to identify the woman,” the officer added.
