Woman loses foot in train accident

A 55-year-old nurse at a government hospital lost her foot after a train ran it over at Sector 46 here on Wednesday. The woman was walking across the railway track since the underpass was waterlogged.

GRP Faridabad SHO Om Prakash said the woman, Krishna, a resident of Greenfields Colony, was crossing the railway track from under a parked goods trains.“Her right foot got stuck in the track. She screamed for help and several passers-by came to help. While they were trying to pull off her foot, the train started moving and her foot got cut,,” said Mr. Prakash.

“An FIR will be registered after a complaint is received,” he said.
